Google's 'Gboard' for iOS combines a keyboard with Google Search

reader comments Share this story The Gboard. It's a normal keyboard, but, hey, what does that Google button do? It's search! Tap the button and a search bar will pop up with suggestions. Type something into the search field and the "enter" button will turn blue and become "search." Results display in little cards right in the keyboard area. You can swipe through them horizontally. There are two options for sending the information: text or a static picture. The tabs at the bottom let you see the kind of results. Besides the normal results there are also images and GIFs. The search page can show all kinds of results. Here's a direct answer to a question and the weather. It's a regular keyboard, too, so swiping is supported. (The article continues...)
